Effective ways to Organize with Mason Jars

The Mason jar is probably one of the most iconic piece of glassware. Love it or loathe it, you can’t deny both its utility and inherent cuteness.

Let me give you a brief history of The Mason jar. It was created in 1858 by John Landis Mason, a New Jersey native. Thereafter the idea of “heat-based canning” emerged in 1806 and was popularized by Nicholas Appert, a French cook who had been inspired by the need to preserve foods for long periods during the Napoleonic wars.

Mason jars have been the rage in homemaking for a long time. Homesteaders have used them to preserve their harvest to last throughout the year. Generation after generation mason jars have been like recipes and family traditions; passed on down the line. Vintage mason jars have an appeal that is decorative as well as functional. Mason jars, with their pleasing shape and transparency, suggest a kind of wholesome luxury.
